In Georgia, over 11,000 children are in foster care, and many of them are waiting for a permanent family. Studies show that children placed in stable, loving homes are more likely to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. However, only 40% of foster youth graduate
high school, and less than 10% pursue higher education, highlighting the critical role that foster and adoptive parents play in changing these outcomes.
